Are you a coffee lover? Then it is you who should read this and help me understand the hype around coffee. Also, tell me which coffee will make me fall in love with coffee? The header picture is of the coffee my partner had in Nainital, I mean just look at it. I want to love coffee but I have not been successful so far.
Something noteworthy or what generally raises eyebrows around me is the fact that I did not have coffee or tea for almost 20 years of my starting life. Yep, mom was not really in favor of me having any of these and when I was old enough to have made the decision for myself I never really liked the fragrance to venture further. All I had was milk with some energy or protein powder. Growing up I did get hooked to green tea. It makes me feel like I am sitting surrounded by hills with cold breeze enveloping me. Green tea tastes and feels like vacation. Give me all types of green tea and I will have it happily. It’s refreshing and soothing. I love it and have tried so many flavors, cannot get enough of it. So, I know that’s how coffee lovers must feel about coffee and not being able to develop that taste gives me FOMO. Not like I have not tried it. My partner is addicted to Starbucks “java chip Frappuccino” and I have tried tasting it almost twice or thrice and it made me puke. Just today I ordered Mocha Chip Frappuccino and that felt too sweet so I could not have it. I have heard so much about black coffee with or without sugar but how do I make it? What do I need? I am a coffee noob. Help. Help. Help.
I was really excited for my coffee today and very disappointed when I, yet again, did not like it. So, I decided now that I have made so many new friends, maybe they can help me? Sorry if this feels random. I wanted to casual chatty post as cannot do heavy duty stuff on Fridays. Looking forward to hear your views and how coffee makes you feel. You can let me know what other beverage you like, it does not have to be coffee!
Not crazy about coffee but like regular coffee with milk or any of those cold coffee variants..Big no to black coffee..and it’s just one drink that I am really hooked to so can’t call myself a coffee lover in any sense..

A very bitter drink which makes no sense to be hooked to so make it make sense na.

Hey!! I am a fantastic coffee lover! But sometimes it gives me a stomach upset( I do not know why🙄). But I would recommend you to leave all kinds of expensive coffee stuffs and try the Nestlé one cheaply available in the market to start with. To make it not too sweet you can obviously add little sugar. Later when you start loving coffee you can try cold coffee with ice cream!! It’s just awesome. Try once…you will thank me later😉😁…haha

Nestle toh hai mere pass!!!! How do you make it? Tell me what to add and how much for a nice hot cuppa! Cold coffee with icecream was the Frappuccino i ordered today, not great 🥲 but I am looking forward to try more!

Ookayyy!! So it’s just my easy recipe (not a fancy one at all). Boil milk and add sugar to it(just as much as you want). Put some coffee powder in a cup. You can put a little more if you want a dark one. Pour the hot milk through a strainer into the cup and ofcouse from a height( to make bubbles…they look cute). At the end you can sprinkle a little bit of coffee powder on top of the bubbles to make it look amazing!

I’ve never been a real fan either. I liked it cold when I was younger. Maybe I’d like those iced coffee drinks that are trendy anymore… I like coffee ice cream and Mocha milkshakes too.

Yes, it’s okay to not like either. I have been like that most of my life, just that I wish to try something related to coffee and I don’t want to think later that oh, why did i not try!

Give me a hot cuppa tea or coffee and I am game for it….any time of the day…the fragrance, the aroma…. nothing relaxes me more than sitting with my steaming cup…you should definitely look up some videos on YouTube and try them out….you’re seriously missing out on some classic beverage love☕🍵☕❤️

How about an iced mocha with almond milk? It’s simple and just enough sweetness. If I’m not drinking coffee, I’m enjoying a cup of chai tea.

I’m not a big fan of coffee or tea for that matter. But I prefer tea over coffee, even though I take it very rarely. I do have green tea during the tea break at office. I had missed this post earlier, Pooja!

No worries at all, thank you for coming back. Ohh! You are a tea person!!! Lovely. It is best when the desire is controlled or it can turn into addiction!

Always a pleasure, Pooja! I used to be addicted to tea! And after a lot of struggle, I managed to kick that habit 😀

If you like tea, then drink tea. You’re all sorts of tea drinks and if that’s the drink you prefer then so be it. There are lots of coffee drinks out there just like there are a lot of tea drinks. You don’t have to be like others be like you and be secure and drinking your tea.

That is what I have been following uptil now, however I want to broaden my horizon and taste buds. Not necessarily change sides but get the best of both worlds!

You may be just setting yourself up for big disappointments if you want to keep trying coffee. The only thing I would suggest is you try the milder brews of coffee. And then if you like those, go on to the medium roast and then into the darker roasts. Might be best to go to a local coffee shop and work with the barista there to try your coffee and tell them why you’re there.

You’re funny. To be honest, I’m not a big drinker of alcohol but have tried a few things. If I drink wine, I prefer a sweet wine. As for beer, I prefer the lighter types but on a trip to New Zealand, I liked their red beers. Have you had Japanese whiskey?

Oooh, I like my wine as a late harvest. Yet to develop a taste for red wine, happy with white. As for beer, I like any really. Oooh no not Japanese whiskey. I have had Nepal’s local whiskey though, yummmm!

I think Coffee to me is much more than just …coffee.
It’s a whole mood: the one when you wake up next to your loved one and share breakfast together
It is the mood when you see a friend who you havent seen in a while and the two of you gather around coffee while laughing and update each other on everything
It’s the moment you have kind of a break down at work and you go get yourself a coffee and feel remotivated.
It’s the memory of your tennage years when you had to work hard for exams and were drinking much more coffee than you should…
Coffee also means being alone (like working on your laptop in a Starbucks) and enjoying the moment.
It’s the deep talk, the “coffee talk” as I like to call it in wich you can really discover someone just by sharing a coffee together . Well I have so much to say about Coffee and im just so excited about it that I could literaly talk about it for hours and I understant the ” Hype” around it because its worth it.
Have a Nice Day Xx
