Love affair!

55/100

I have always loved the cold places, the hills. While I have always wanted to travel around the world, given a choice I always chose cold places. With this love on one side, I did not particularly enjoy beaches. I know how that sounds but I had my reasons. The twist in my story was that I dated a guy who loved beaches. He is the cupid of my love affair with the sea. We visited Goa in monsoon and pondicherry during onset of winter. I fell in love and I don’t mind marrying the beach, haha. If that’s what it takes to be at a beach whenever I want, not such a bad idea? Sunset at the beach is everyone’s favorite. For me, it is what happiness means. While sky has always been my muse, beach sky is a site to behold. My heart is still at the paradise beach in pondicherry, no kidding. Even talking about this makes me so happy and it also makes me long a trip to beach. We are stuck in a stay-at-home situation and sometimes it gets very bad for me mentally. I keep myself in a check by remembering that these problems are not as bad as what some others are facing. But, mental health is not something that is small, I know that too. Weird how a simple thought of a beach trip can solve all my problems and be the bane of all my problems as well. I mean I did not even like beaches to start with! Let me show off my love and hope that you guys will fall in love too. The more, the merrier ๐Ÿ˜‰

  1. Dude our lobsters have so much in common…just like you I have always fancied myself as a hills and mountains person but my MR is always headed towards the beach and I follow…and over the years I have also developed a fondness for it…. watching a sunrise anywhere is not happening for me, so I do watch the sun set and the many hues of it ๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ–๏ธโ›ฑ๏ธ

  2. Both are different types of people. The beach people are supposed to be the easy mixing extroverts, while the hill folks are supposed to be philosophical introverts. Only from what I read.

If that’s true – It’s interesting how our habits get changed by influence of our loved ones.
If I were to believe in the classification above, then the introverts can be converted to extroverts through influence of good company, which seems a logically possibly personality shift.
I wonder if a beach lover ever got converted to hill lover, which indeed seems a more difficult change to embrace.

    • Omg. Never thought it this way. At all. Nice take. But I think it does not apply to us. I am an extrovert and philosophical and I love the hills. He is an introvert and loves the beach! Haha he is a hill lover too now, we have both adapted ๐Ÿ™‚ i really liked this fresh take on it. Thank you for sharing.

    • You’re right Deb, mountain lovers can extend their love for the beaches but I haven’t been it happening the other way round… interesting point ๐Ÿค”

  3. Marry the beach… Hmmm… All good until sand gets in places it was never meant to get. ๐Ÿ˜€

We went to Hawaii on our honeymoon. I’d LOVE to live someplace like that. Allergies totally kicked my butt the whole time we were there though… and I STILL wish we could live there.
